May 16, 2024

The 2023 – 2024 school year is wrapping up across the country with graduation ceremonies taking place throughout the next few days.

Locally, one of the biggest school district in the region will hold ceremonies on Saturday afternoon.

Elk City Superintendent Mike Sparks says festivities will begin at 2 p.m. at the high school.

Sparks added that something new will be added to this year’s graduation ceremony.

Earlier in the week the Brown and White Awards Ceremony was held where, according to high school principal Jamie McClure, a little over $1.6 million total in scholarships were handed out.

McClure says that total could rise with more scholarships coming in.

The 2024 Elk City Graduation Ceremony will be streamed live on BigElkTV.com at 4 p.m.
