Erick Man Charged with Arson – Wanted in Beckham Co.

An Erick man is wanted in Beckham County after being accused of starting a fire with a firework.

According to court records, 31-year old Michael Bryan Moore was charged on May 1 with one felony count of third degree arson after allegedly throwing a firework from a moving vehicle that started a fire at a residence located in the 900 block of S. Elm Street in Erick on the evening of January 15.

A probable cause affidavit said that the incident was captured on the homeowner’s security camera. After viewing the footage, the suspect vehicle’s owner was contacted where he would tell authorities that Moore was driving the vehicle.

As of press time, Moore has not been apprehended.

A court date is pending.
