FEMA Assistance Available For Custer Co. Residents

It was announced that Custer County residents who suffered damage from recent severe storms last month are now eligible for disaster assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Blaine, Caddo, and Jackson Counties are also eligible for FEMA assistance.

The assistance provided through FEMA’s Individuals and Households Program, offers funding for a range of needs, including temporary housing, home repairs, and replacement of essential items like water, food, and medication.

Specific aid includes serious needs assistance for emergency supplies, displacement assistance for immediate housing costs, and rental assistance for temporary housing. FEMA may also provide funds for major home repairs and accessibility improvements for people with disabilities.

Residents in those areas can apply for aid online at DisasterAssistance.gov, through the FEMA mobile app, or by calling the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362.
