Residents in one Western Oklahoma county who were affected by the April 25 – May 9 severe weather have one week left to apply for FEMA assistance.
Officials say the deadline to apply is July 31 for residents in 18 counties including residents in Washita county.
Cordell suffered damage from an EF1 rated tornado on April 30.
FEMA can help with rent, home repairs, and other disaster-related needs.
Officials said there are four ways to apply: Go online to DisasterAssistance.gov, call the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362, download the FEMA App, or visit a Disaster Recovery Center – for locations and hours, visit fema.gov/drc.
