A Foss youth was hospitalized Tuesday after being involved in a two vehicle accident west of Canute in Washita County.

According to the accident report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 4:43p.m. at the intersection of county roads N2060 and E1110 when the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer driven by 60-year-old Chris Duane Renison of Custer City collided with the 1997 Ford F-150 driven by a juvenile male from Foss.

OHP said the collision caused the Blazer to depart the road to the left, and the F-150 to overturn a half time before departing the road to the right.

The juvenile was transported from the scene by medical helicopter to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in stable condition with trunk internal injuries.

Renison and his passenger were not injured in the mishap.
