Less than a week removed from a day of high winds and high fire danger, the National Weather Service in Norman says Wednesday has the potential to return that threat to western Oklahoma.

Currently a fire weather watch is set to go into affect Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. with it scheduled to expire Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

Why the fire weather watch? KOCO Meteorologist Jonathan Conder says because the region could once again see record highs, with extreme wind.

Meteorologist said a cold front should come in late Wednesday afternoon and early evening, that could fuel up rain and storm chances.
