January 31, 2024

Elk City fire crews have been busy this week working two house fires that both appear to have been accidental electrical fires.

Chief Kyle Chervenka says the first occurred Monday afternoon in the 800 block of S. Randall where the fire originated in the kitchen, and the other occurred on Tuesday afternoon at a home on the corner of Washington and B Avenue.

Chervenka said crews have also been called out to local control burns that have gotten out of control.
