I-40 Semi Accident Hospitalizes California Man

An early Sunday morning accident on Interstate 40 in Custer County injured a truck driver from California.

According to the collision report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident took place just before 1:30 a.m. near mile marker 82 in the westbound lanes when while drive a 2022 Freightliner, 26-year-old Joga Singh of Bakersfield, California departed the road to the right for an unknown reason and laid the semi over onto the driver’s side.

As a result Singh was admitted into Weatherford Regional Hospital in stable condition with head and arm injuries.

A passenger in the semi was not injured.
