The latest sales tax numbers have been released and most western Oklahoma communities saw little to no change when compared to the same time a year ago.

The latest numbers reflect sales tax intake from the month of November.

Starting with the three largest cities in the area, the City of Elk City saw a 1.5% increase by collecting $1,279,154.65. The City of Weatherford was up 1.9% by bringing in $1,136,903.92. The City of Clinton collected $492,415.83, a 0.2% decrease when compared to last year.

By comparison, the City of Altus was down 0.1% with an intake of $1,127,543.46 of sales tax dollars and Woodward saw a big increase by bringing in $1,246,911.04 – a 14% increase.

Smaller communities in the area had Sayre down 1.4% ($136,464.73), Mangum down 3.6% ($46,409.55), Hobart down 10% ($121,801.01) and Cordell down 7.4% ($84,412.37).

The state as a whole was up 2.3% by collecting $238,577,758.15 in the month of November.
