Devon Energy pitched in recently with another donation to help encourage STEM or science, technology, engineering and math development at a local western Oklahoma school.

The help was given to Weatherford’s Burcham Elementary students who now have new innovative science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) equipment and materials, thanks to a partnership between Devon Energy and the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation.

Several years ago, the organizations installed state-of-the-art STEM Centers in Burcham Elementary.

This month, Devon and the Ripken Foundation gifted the school seven Sphero BOLT Coding Robots and a $150 VISA gift card to help restock materials for the STEM centers like batteries, playdoh, markers and filament for 3D printers.

Kingfisher’s Upper Elementary and Heritage Elementary also received new supplies for its STEM center.
