Mike Brown Secures Resounding Victory in Weatherford Mayoral Election

In a decisive victory, Mike Brown has been re-elected as the mayor of Weatherford, securing 72% of the vote in Tuesday’s election. Brown garnered 1,057 votes, significantly outpacing his competitors, Dustin Hayes and Robby Penner.

Hayes received 288 votes, amounting to 20% of the total vote. Penner finished in third place with 126 votes, capturing just 9% of the electorate.

Brown was first elected mayor of the City of Weatherford in 2004. Prior to that, he served as City Commissioner for three terms, beginning in April 1996. In 2010, Brown was named “Large City Mayor of the Year” by the Oklahoma Municipal League.
