Local voters will be going to the polls tomorrow (Tuesday) to decide a couple school board races and various propositions in western Oklahoma.

In Canute, three are vying for the office #2 seat on the school board. Voters in the school district will decide between Dillon Delp, Caleb Sandusky, and Lynn Chervenka for the seat.

Also some voters in southeast Washita County will be voting on a three person race for a spot on the Carnegie School Board. Running for that seat are William L Boettger Jr., Brad Holsted, and Shannon T. Ware.

Voters in the Erick School District will be deciding on a proposition tomorrow. If approved, the bond proposal will give the school $350,000 for the purpose of constructing, equipping, repairing and remodeling school buildings, acquiring school furniture, fixtures and equipment and also acquiring and improving school sites.

Custer County voters will decide to extend a sales tax that, if approved, would continue to fund the Custer County Sheriff’s Department, rural fire departments in the county, the Oklahoma State University Extension Office and the Custer County Free Fair Board.

Also in parts of Custer and Washita Counties, voters will be deciding on two propositions proposed by the Caddo – Kiowa Technology Center.

Voting booths open tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7a.m. and close at 7p.m.

Local election board secretaries ask the public to check ahead to see if your regular polling place will be open tomorrow – as some have been closed due to a small amount of voters in certain prescients.
