Another winter storm could affect portions of the listening area starting early tomorrow morning, however experts say severe, spring-like, thunderstorms could roll through the region tonight (Wednesday).

According to KOCO Meteorologist Jonathan Conder, a red flag warning is in affect for much of western Oklahoma until 6p.m. tonight due to high winds and dry conditions, then storm chances ramp up early tomorrow morning.

Conder says there is a slight risk that the thunderstorms could be severe and cause small damage over night.

Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Norman say they do expect a major winter storm for northern and northwest Oklahoma with blowing and drifting snow likely.

As far as snow totals are concerned for the surrounding area, experts predict areas south of Interstate 40 in western Oklahoma to receive a trace to an inch of snow with accumulations larger north of I-40. Those totals could be one to two inches in northern parts of Beckham County, all of Roger Mills and Custer Counties, and the majority of Dewey County.
