State Overdose Numbers Alarming

Beckham County Sheriff Derek Manning, who also serves on the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics Board of Commissioners, provided some alarming numbers recently regarding illegal drug use in the state.

He revealed that the quarterly report showed that fentanyl has taken over as the leading killer in Oklahoma when it comes to illegal drug use.

Manning reported that in total, 1,292 Oklahomans died in 2023 due to illegal drug use.
