Jessica Jefferson of Clinton, Oklahoma has been named the 2023 Drs. Bob and Nancy Maynard Scholar at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) for the 2023-24 academic year.

Jefferson is a senior at SWOSU majoring in Elementary Education.

The Drs. Bob and Nancy Maynard Scholarship was established by Drs. Bob and Nancy Maynard from Aurora, Colorado.

Dr. Bobby “Bob” Maynard is a 1977 SWOSU graduate and a 1981 graduate of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences. He and his wife Nancy both practiced medicine at Great Falls Clinic in Great Falls, Montana for over thirty years until their retirements in 2021. Bob specialized in internal medicine and Nancy in pediatrics.

The Drs. Bob and Nancy Maynard Scholarship is stewarded by the SWOSU Foundation, Inc. The Foundation was established in 1977 to promote philanthropy, award scholarships, and distribute funds to support the activities and programs of SWOSU. For more information about the Drs.
