The deadline to sign up for this year’s Mayor’s Toy Drive in Elk City is this Friday.
Mayor Cory Speiker reminds parents that if one would like to sign up to receive toys for their children, to swing by city hall this week.
Speiker says parents or legal guardians must have the name, age, gender, and address of all children the toys are intended for.
He added that a good proof of Elk City residency is a utility bill.
If one would like to donate toys, drop off locations include the Fire Department, Police Department, Arrowhead Center, Play on Main and Mountain Man’s Axe Throwing and Grub. If someone would like to make a monetary donation – they are asked to swing by city hall to do so.
Also, if a toy is donated tonight at the Elk City High School basketball games, one can enter for free.
This year’s drive-thru toy drive is scheduled to take place at the Elk City Convention Center on December 14, at 6 p.m.
