Voting officials in Custer County remind potential voters that Friday, March 11, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the April 5 Election for Thomas-Fay-Custer School and Special Election for Clinton School.

Custer County Election Board Secretary Ann Brown said in a press release that anyone with questions should contact the Election Board office to see if one is a qualified voter in that election.

Brown said that persons who are United States citizens, residents of Oklahoma, and at least 18 years old may apply to become registered voters. Those who aren’t registered or need to change their registration may apply by filling out and mailing an Oklahoma Voter Registration Application form in time for it to be postmarked no later than midnight March 11.

Brown says Oklahoma Voter Registration Application forms are available at the County Election Board office located at 633 N. 6th Street, Clinton, and at most post offices, tag agencies and public libraries in the county. Online Voter Registration Applications can be made if a voter is currently registered in Custer County, but only needs to change his address or political affiliation at ok.gov/elections. Applications for a name change or for a new registration also are available at elections.ok.gov.
