Wellington, TX Man Sentenced To Lengthy Prison Time

A Wellington, Texas man was sentenced recently in Hall County, Texas after being convicted of first degree burglary and aggravated assault of a child.

According to a press release, 20-year-old Damien Ray Pina was sentenced to 40 years in prison for the crime he committed on November 15, 2021.

He would be arrested by a Collingsworth County Sheriff’s Deputy.

The press release said that Pina was indicated on February 18, 2022, and had originally pleaded guilty to the offense on April 7. He was placed on community supervision with multiple additional conditions of community supervision related to sex offenders.

The State of Texas filed a motion asking the Court to adjudicate Pina’s probation on June 8, alleging six violations of probation.

One allegation in the State’s motion was Pina’s failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements which was investigated by DPS CID agents.

Pina was also ordered to pay the remaining $10,000 fine, $376 in court costs and $400 in attorney fees.
