The Elk City Elkettes experienced another tough district loss last night, falling to the Weatherford Lady Eagles. Elk City led 2-0 heading into the final frame, but Weatherford scored five runs in the 7th inning to secure a 5-2 lead.
In response, Ella Sottile and Aubrie Pogue delivered RBI hits, bringing the score to 5-4. Despite loading the bases with one out, the Elkettes were unable to tie the game, resulting in their second consecutive loss.
