Merritt Oilers vs. Mooreland
In their Class A District 1 opener, the Merritt Oilers faced a tough challenge against Mooreland, resulting in a 28-6 loss. The Oilers are now one game behind Fairview, Texoma, Thomas, and Mooreland. Next up, they’re hitting the road for a game against Texoma.
Hollis vs. Cyril
Hollis continues their winning streak in non-district games as they faced Cyril last Friday. It was a hard-fought battle that ended in favor of the Pirates with a score of 28-20. The Tigers’ record now stands at 1-3, and they’re gearing up for a home game against Snyder this Friday.
District 4A-1 Action
Even with the Big Elks on a break, District 4A-1 saw some intense action last week:
- Clinton dominated John Marshall with a commanding score of 58-18.
- Weatherford took on Chickasha and secured a 35-15 victory.
- Cache left no room for doubt, with a whopping 56-0 win against Woodward.
This week, the Elks are diving into district play with a road trip down I-40 to face off against Clinton.
